Triton's recent projects highlights:

Cheakamus River Recovery Planning and Monitoring

Design and implementation of multi-year monitoring programs to assess recovery of fish and benthic invertebrates following a train derailment and subsequent spill of sodium hydroxide into the Cheakamus River.

Salmon River Horizontal Directional Drill

Aspects of the project included conduct-ing assessments, envrionmental moni-toring, developing erosion and sediment control plans, and at construction completion, Triton will assist in habitat compensation plans, post-construction reporting and follow-up sampling.

Forage Assessments of Operationally Reclaimed Sites

Triton crews complete annual vegetation surveys for Highland Valley Copper (Teck) to determine if reclamation strategies at the mine are achieving specific biomass, species composition, and foliar nutrient targets related to creating wildlife and livestock habitat.

Long Lake Hydro Project

This 28 MW Independent Power Project is located largely within historical mining sites 20 km north of Stewart, BC. Since permitting in 2005, Triton has been retained to fulfill outstanding permit conditions and address substantial changes to powerline design and power generating capacity.

Middle Columbia River Juvenile Fish Habitat Use

To assess the effects of flow manipula-tion on juvenile fish habitat use down-stream of the Revelstoke Dam, Triton crews have completed two years of a 6- year study involving night time boat electrofishing on the Middle Columbia.

Kitimat Moderization Project

Triton provides ongoing environmental services and fisheries related expertise to Rio Tinto Alcan (former Alcan Inc.).
